My brother is taking an intensive spanish course at the moment and I wanted to send him a spanish mix to practice. I however barely (if at all) understand the language so compiling songs has been a challenege. I'll definitely be taking some notes (and songs) from yours! Muchas Gracias

íQuT ilusi=n! That Yma Sumac track is cool, among many others.

I see you have correctly placed Neko Case at her actual birthplace, although I can see why our Canadian friends keep claiming her. ;-)

I think I know 2 tracks here ( Calexico & babe Ruth ) but I know I'm gonna dig this. How can you resist a band named Los Twangers? I don't think you can... Love that artwork also Chris .

Plenty here for me to discover.Fab artwork.Kathryn introduced me to Yma Sumac and I'm still spinning! Did try to learn Spanish but it defeated me.Living in London these days it would be best to learn Polish, another language I love.
And the Stairs,I thought they had been wiped from history.

Hi Chris, I seem to have lost your e mail address, just wanted to say thanks for hipping me to that site a while back. You can see what I did with the tunes I've gathered on my latest mix. Merci beaucoup.

even better than I'd hoped. we do seem to be on the same wavelength with that Yma Sumac tune, though I think your context makes it sound more mysterious and lovely. lots of favorites on this, with Los Dug Dug's as my #1 and 3/4/6/13/18/19/20 all coming in a close second. íque maravilloso!

Saw this earlier in the week, but I just awoke from a long siesta and it disappeared from sight (and site). But yes, this is top notch and worthy of all the glowing reviews. And the cover? One of the best I've seen, sharpshooter!
