Comment:

Continuing on with songs from Rolling Stone's "Greatest 500 Songs of All Time" -- these are my favorites from the 60s. Even though I grew up in the 80s, the music I grew up to was The Beatles and Bob Dylan, the mainstays in my mom's record collection. My aunt worshipped Diana Ross, so Motown was a major influence as well. I would guess probably half of Rolling Stone's top 500 songs come from the 60s, so obviously this is just a small cross-section of the songs I like the best from their list (i.e., no Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, etc.). This mix ends at 1965, where the next volume will pick up.

Per your observation "I would guess probably half of Rolling Stone's top 500 songs come from the 60s," I wonder if that is a bias in RS's picks, or if it really was a time of unusually good creativity?

Anyway, you have an excellent bunch here.
