Continuing on with songs from Rolling Stone's "Greatest 500 Songs of All Time" -- these are some more of my favorites from the 60s, spanning from 1965 on. As I said in my last mix, probably half of Rolling Stone's top 500 songs come from this era, so there was a lot of winnowing down to do. It would be interesting to see picks from someone who was actually alive during this time period, as I don't really "get" a lot of the late 60s songs Rolling Stone classified as the all-time greats. Nonetheless, these are my favorites, with the Simon and Garfunkel, Otis Redding, Percy Sledge, and Velvet Underground songs ranking among my all-time favorite songs.
