Comment:

My favorite JoJo tracks excluding original ML recordings...because it's really apples and oranges. I couldn't say enough about this man. To me he is the most underappreciated, sincere, and uplifting man in music.
Some of these may also be credited to some version of The Modern Loves, but that's really not what's important here.

Nice to tribute to an outstanding entertainer. Lots of faves here (though I'm also partial to "My Jeans," "The Neighbors," and "You Can't Talk To The Dude." I ended up including the early Modern Lovers highlights on my own JR mix, but, yes, it's a pretty schizophrenic mix, so this is probably the better way to go.

Yes - great songs here. I, too, thought that JR was all those wonderful things you mention. Until I met him when my band gigged with him. At the time, geez 15+ years ago, I worshipped him - what a letdown. All that aside, you've picked some real faves here -- I love the early Modern Lovers stuff, too, but "Jonathan Sings", "Rockin and Romance", and "It's time for" are still big faves.
