Comment:
From my 7" record collection a random adventure among the independent underbelly that the mediocre mainstream neglected. Some of it is so primitive it could have been the first musical attempts by cavemen. I avoided the slightly more heralded small labels such as Sarah, Rough Trade, Subway etc. much to the chagrin of Kathryn who after hearing this mix insisted it was only to be heard once a year.Roll on summer 2008.Feedback:
The names of the record labels are in brackets.
And track two should read Impossible Dreamers. That's the last comment I shall make on my own mix.
I know nothing of this.
Hail the Chrysanthemums!!! Nice work Rupert!
I'm sure this is lovely -- irregardless of what bratty Kathryn has to say about it ;) I think I recognize a combined five artists/labels here. And don't slight the cavemen -- they made some great rock.
Crikey. I have a vast collection on indie 7s stretching from the early 90s onwards, I actually made a mix from the cream of them. But that looks positively mainstream compared to this. I may even own a few of these tracks but If I do I'm unaware of it... Looks like a fine mix, and one I'd love to hear ( maybe even twice in the same year.
Very cool compilation.
Jesus. Again, what can I do to get a copy of this, good sir Rupert? This is seriously jaw-dropping.
I'd pay 32 bucks to hear this right now.
I'll bid 33. Me needs this. Me needs this, now. (not such subtle hints, I realize)
I'd really like to hear this mix; I've seriously never heard of any band here, maybe because I'm a continent away from these labels.
