Comment:
A definite 'WTF!' mix. Wanted to put all of "Discreet Music" on a mix and say damn the consequences. So after 30:35 being devoured in one fell swoop, why not ruin it all & have two additional tracks over ten minutes apiece. And why not a veritable William Shatner trilogy - 1.) Michael Myers wears a slightly disfigured Captain Kirk mask; 2.) Shatner's famous / infamous "Rocket Man" (aside from a piano falling on him, Elton John never deserved anything more); and 3.) The Beastie Boys reference Captain Kirk in their extended tour-de-force. I've always had a weakness for "Nothing Compares to You" and Norah Jones overall. Title from the Doors track.Feedback:
Who in their right mind doesn't have a weakness for "Nothing Compares"? I find myself endeared to every cover version of it, too. This is a neat one, esp. for its unpredictable course. I mighta chosen another Shatner song (that one's too kitsch for me, I prefer "Common People" or "Lucy...") but all's forgiven with the "Halloween" theme. What a weirdly exciting journey this mix would be

sinead's nothing compares to you is one of my top ten all time favorites.
