Comment:
These two discs are the fruits of my collaboration with the mighty doowad.I hope it hits the spot with some of you. I'm loving it big time.
doowad says: "I like the way this mix evolved, pinging and ponging across the Atlantic and resulting in a quite enjoyable pair of CDs" ...
Disc 1

Looks GREAT.
Wow. Impressive variety!
Great collaboration...&, my goodness, scads of great picks!
Nice collection and all over the place. So many great picks.
Ace delivery mes amis!
Who's who in that picture?
Great collaboration, as was to be expected. I believe I'm already on record regarding my love of those Tunng & Bathgate picks.

Great game you two played! I particularly like tracks 5, 8 & 10 on Disc 1 and 11 & 20 on Disc 2 (that last track being an all time favorite of mine).
Wow. This is absolutely fantastic. Lots of clever juxtapositions and great tracks all around. One of my favorite efforts from either/both of you, in fact.
Fantastic. Cover art of the week. Collaberation of the week. Mix of the week. 5 stars. Georgie Fame? OK make that 6...
love the way this thing unravels - the chemistry just leaps off the screen - so much good stuff here
Well done, team! I will hazard that doowad was odds on 1 and Barry was odds on 2.
Really great, jumps around all over. Interesting that someone wrote a song about Joaquin Murrietta! I 've been intrigued by him since I was a child. I love these alternating DJ mixes, teamwork with great results.
Great collab, the R. Crumb and Getz / Gilberto jump out at me.
42 selections, tons of variety, immense quality. That's some volley!!!
Wonderful.
ping pong with drunken hands ?
Fantastic work.
So who was ping and who was pong? Fabulous teamwork, kids! This is what happens when two people with too much music get to-gether.
What an epic match! Very curious about Los Naufragos.
put this on in the office today (I'm late, I know...) and, sadly, missed a chunk of side one because someone made me do some actual work. the nerve. can't they see I'm busy? I'll have to catch those again at home. but this is a terrific set of tunes, guys. loved the side one opener, Soda Stereo and the Murat/Swoon pair...then my break...loved 12Twelve and the pair closing out side one. my two favorites on side two were DeVotchKa and Victoria Williams (I've got all her CDs, but not that song. where did you get it? tell me! it's absolutely gorgeous.) but I also loved Cibelle, Sabina, AZ Amp and Alternator (what a great Arizona-trailer-park-type version of the song!), Waits, O'Rourke, Tunng and Twice as Much. any chance you two are planning a re-match? and Barry, you may not have made it onto my latest mix (cut-off date was Aug. 15, '07), but don't you be goin' M.I.A. on us. the doctor says I need at least three new Barrydali mixes a month. y'hear?
