Comment:
There is a compilation series called The Sound Of Leamington Spa.This series collects many overlooked bands from the UK who released singles, flexis, cassettes in the eighties and early nineties. Many recorded tracks at Leamington Spa. My mix spreads its net wider, venturing across the Atlantic and far below the equator.Bands on these compilations might be catagorized as C86,twee or shambling.I have borrowed bands from the comps but have ensured that none of the songs are duplicated.I have made another three mixes in this series which I will post later.
This mix on offer to anyone who can tell me which two bands have virtually the same personnel.
Feedback:
Once again my knowledge base is sadly lacking.
I'm with hemizen, although based upon your extraordinary track record I feel secure in saying that this is probably great.
I know pretty much none of this, but based on your description I think I'd like a lot of it. Should you care for a trade, feel free to drop me a line via AOTM.
Great Dolly Mixture and Black Tambourine tracks.
This looks expansively wonderful. A number of fine cuts (of those I am familiar). I would love to take a listen if you'd be kind enough to share.Either way, fine work, indeed.
oh wow twee galore! i wish i knew more of these bands so i can answer the question.
Damn, wish I knew the answer, 'cuz I'd love to get my hands on under-the-radar twee-pop music! Alls I know is Tullycraft, Lucksmiths, and Talula Gosh, but that's enough for me to be salivating over the rest.
Awesomely fantastic! So much great stuff that you already know I like. As for your question, I'm going to guess the Cinematics and the Razorcuts, which both featured Gregory Webster and Tim Vass. So is I right??
Conspiracy theorists will be salivating....once again Moe is correct.Let's meet in a car park Moe, and I'll give you the CD.
Typical Clever Clogs Moe. This is right up his ( and my alley ). I've got a large chunk of this, and can safely state that represented here are a far superior 'Keen' and the Razorcuts are far more likeable than 'Razorlight'. Although, so is Smallpox...
Surprise meself by recognising 7 tracks. If Moe and Sammy give this the thumbs up then that's good enough for me.
looks lovely.
i loooove the leamington spa mixes.. this looks excellent as well!
