Comment:
Did a 1987 mix on cassette some time back and thought I'd see how it worked on CD.(Only repeated myself once I think). America was about to unleash grunge and England was soon to embrace indie dance whilst hidden in the musical backwaters Sarah records were about to charm a few gentle souls. And the Smiths were soon to jangle no more.Feedback:
Is that the Wallflowers from Slough I see here? 1987 was a good year it seems judging by this!
This is my Kind of '87. Funnily enough I've always thought of 1987 as the worst year in music history... Stock Aitken Waterman, Star Trekkin, Ferry Aid, Smiths splitting up etc.. But this mix may make me re-evulate. Love the Spacemen 3, MBV, TPE, don't know much Microdisney, but I love Sean O'Hagan & I love that title.....
I love pretty much the same tracks as Sammy and commend you for making that year in music seem better than it was. ;-)
So this is what I missed with that endless loop of Hwy 61 in my basement...
Really was a transition year. Some nice picks here.
It was 20 years ago today, Kevin Shields taught his band to play -- or was it Billy Shields? Plenty of gems you've compiled from this year in history: T. Muses, TPE, Smiths, Talulah Gosh, Wonderstuff, etc. We even have a hint of the forthcoming shoegazing phenomenon with the inclusion of MBV. Bet this sounds great in digital, though I am a bit nostalgic for the hiss of a C-90.
...and I was about to graduate high school. it was a bad year for music at West Valley High, as our graduation song was "Living On a Prayer" by Bon Jovi. "Garoux Des Larmes" is one of the best songs of the '80s (both the 1980s and 1880s). quite a few I haven't heard here, would love to put this into my ears. please?
Great idea and execution!
Very good selection.
se podria descargar++++
