Comment:
This is a mix of autumny/vaguely gloomy songs for a friend for whom I have promised such a thing for years. I think I might put the same Black Heart Procession song on every mix, but it's great, so it's all okay. And, of course, the person who's receiving this doesn't know the song, so it's even more okay. Fine, even. Anyway, the title is from the poem 'To Failure' by Philip Larkin, which I have been fond of for years, and which I think she will enjoy too...it can be found at http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/to-failure/. I wasn't sure how to end it, so I made two versions.
