Comment:
This is admittedly a weird mix, and just about as eclectic as you can get without adding Mozart or something. But that's fitting, because it was a gift in 2006 for EclecticCo (http://www.artofthemix.org/AOTMCommunity/profile.asp?intmemberid=28727)who digs even more random music than I do. (I mean seriously. She took the Gogol Bordello ball and ran with it.) The title is a line from the Cowboy Junkies song, which is about me because I live in Richmond. The title also describes what EclecticCo and I like to do when we're together.
As far as the whys and wherefores of the track selection...some are songs that I thought she'd like. Some are songs I was listening to a lot at the time. Some make me laugh (Barry White). And they all kind of fit...if you know us.
Feedback:
what makes you laugh, makes me cringe. all hail eclecticism. love the mermaid ave tune.
Ooooh yeah! This mix rocked my world--it's still in heavy rotation in these parts.
