Comment:
1979 was a good year for Music. Here are some great tracks I really liked from that year. Some well known, some obscure. Track 15 is especially special as I worked at a record store with a guy named Jimmy Greene and whenever we had to open the store we would play Planet Claire really loud every time before the store opened to get us going & ready for the day. Sorry to say Jimmy lost his life way too young in a car accident but every time I hear this song I think of him.Feedback:
when i looked at this mix, that transition from Michael Jackson to Pink Floyd really made me do a double-take... really? jacko to floyd in one step, in one year? i thought they lived in different universes. but then, i guess that's 1979 in microcosm for you. i love these random single-year mixes, slicing a cross-section through the braid of musical history. sorry to hear about your friend but, contrariwise, welcome to the site!
