I was a little less enthralled by 2007's offerings, though I think that has more to do with my decreasing ability/patience to keep up with everything out there. Which is why I don't recognize a chunk of this. I'm definitely with you on the Apples and New Porns, the best indie pop offerings of the year.
Actually, 2007 was an excellent year for indie pop, PK. This list offers a good idea of some of the most popular ones, but for instance, on my list of favorite album, Apples in Stereo come in somewhere around 90, and I really liked that album.
Nice choices. #12 is my favorite.
Like the thematic bookends. I own most of these and agree 2007 was a great year! You lose me a little with 12 and 14, but overall a great mix. I need to look into the Art Brut. Don't know that one at all. (So much music... so little time.)

Plenty to enthuse over last year as your mix so successfully illustrates. And yes when your friends exit their 20's they often become indifferent to new music, if not music in general. Sad, so sad.
