Comment:
Uncle Tupelo was the group that really started me onto alt-country. This mix isn't a definitive Uncle Tupelo mix, or Son Volt mix, or Wilco mix - just an attempt to capture the No Depression sound with some of my favorite songs from Uncle Tupelo and the outgrowth of Uncle Tupelo. I made this mix in 2001 or 2002 and didn't feel the need to update it at this point. I consider almost all of these songs to be all-time classics, but the ones that seem to pop up on my mixes the most are Windfall, Still Be Around, New Madrid, Acuff-Rose, Hesitating Beauty, and Tear Stained Eye.Feedback:
love the mermaid avenue songs.
