Comment:

I can't sleep.

I can never sleep. Not without a good three hours of laying there struggling to get to sleep.

These are some songs that remind me of that.

A great looking mix. I too suffer from insomnia and I know how frustrating it is.

A problem that I have had for many years and I don't think people realize just how debilitating it is. I pretty much get to sleep shortly before I need to get up. It's no picnic.

Anyhoo, I know roughly half of this and heartily approve of all I do, especially 15 & 16. Great to see Glen & Marketa on here too in the week they scooped an OSCAR nomination. Have you seen Once btw? a really lovely little piece of cinema. Terrific Alexi Murdoch song as well.

Well...there's always Tylenol PM. Either that or take up Ambient music, ;- ]

I have the opposite problem. I takes "power naps" - 15" to 45"
(depending on my schedule) periods of unconsciousness with a pair of noise canceling earbuds and an ambient
mix playing softly. I usually wake up, mid-mix, not remembering what I've heard...
it's GREAT for clearing the head of bothersome goings-on.
This looks great...I hope it soothes you to sleep.

I like the subtitle ;-) best of all. But of course, this has my kind of jazz and a few other niceties.

Insomnia is awful, I had a really bad spell of it in 2005 and it drove me crazy, nearly literally. Lovely mix and I hope you feel better soon.

I've always gone to sleep when I'm tired, and not when I think I SHOULD go to sleep ( ie 7 hours before I'm due to wake up ). But maybe I'm just trivialising something I know little of. I know this is a great mix though...

I've always managed to say that I'm not an insomniac by pretty much not laying down until I'm ready to collapse. Lovely mix--I especially dig that Nick Drake track.

I don't know why I hadn't commented on this until now. It's one of the few mixes I've found here that suits my taste so well (and, no, Nick Drake, I don't mean you). Great mix, I was listening to it the other day again.
