Comment:

Hey y'all. Here's a quickie compiled over the last couple of days. Some stuff that's been in heavy rotation for me over the last month or two (Black Mountain, The Buzzcocks, Visitations, Wooden Wand, Deftones, Radiohead) along with some newer stuff I've been digging. (I really dig that Bat For Lashes disc). Gonna finally get to see Black Mountain live next month, which I'm pretty fuckin' stoked about. Anyway, there ya go. Thanks to lo-fi jr. for the Vincent Black Shadow track. Oh yeah, this might be the first time I've had a Beatles track on a mix in all of my years on here, so that's something, considering I was spoon-fed a steady diet of them growin' up.

oh sporter, this mix is straight out of my "on repeat" file. great picks from bmountain, veruca, the jews, wwand... a classic from the buzzcocks, and of course, some white hot kelly clarkson to top it all off. bravo. enjoy that much-improved internet connection this weekend.

not a bad fab four track to debut on disc - it's one of my absolute favorites of theirs - lovin' the white stripes track (just bought that 7" recently), radiohead & buzzcocks alot too

That Buzzcocks song brings back memories of singing in my bedroom and my mother telling me to shut up. Old people are tone deaf :).

Ooh, Veruca is great to see. And I'm sure doowadette will give you kudos for the Kelly Clarkson. Anybody that can mix all these genres up is a-ok in my book.

I'm with Madishain exactly re Lynyrd Skynyrd. There's a few tracks I don't know but everything I'm familiar with looks great.

Oh man, this is brilliant. Can't stand track three but everything else is aces. I haven't listened to that Veruca Salt track since high school. Have fun at the Black Mountain show. I saw them in October and it was bloody amazing. I too love that Bat for Lashes album a lot. Go to youtube and watch the video for "What's a Girl to Do" if you already haven't. It's pretty sick.

I believe you've hit the bulls-eye here. I especially love the first 3, 9-12 and that great Skynyrd song!
