Comment:
Back with the ladies again. Rather annoyed I missed the opportunity to follow Gillian Hills with Valerie Mountain. I've mixed the old with the new, the folky with the poppy, the foreign with the native (to England). Despite the childish title Petra Janu's song is not a 70's Czechoslovakian attempt at a Eurovision number, whereas what follows by Dolly Dots could be. Amazingly there are two artists from Switzerland, fortunately neither resort to yodelling. I'm now starting work on my fourth mix devoted to the wonderful world of women in pop.Feedback:
Ah yes, looks lovely. Love the London and Guryan the mostest. Lots I don't know too to hit home my inadequacy.
This looks wonderful! I love what I know, and am intrigued by the rest...
What a wonderful looking mix. I must dispute the Yodelling comment though, Mr lanhamyodel put together some fine mixes on the subject (you must hear them). Should we ever trade again I'd love this (series)!
i think "lovely" certainly seems to be the universal appeal of all these girly mixes - not a bad thing at all, in fact i love it
i'll be checking out the ladies.
Let's hear it for the ladies.
There's a little hotel called the Shady Rest at the Junction... I'm down with the ladies!
many I don't know here, but "No Moon At All" is one of my favorite Julie London songs, and ditto for "Black Coffee" by Peggy Lee. and I was just listening to the Hanna Schygulla version of "Lili Marleen" last week! re: your comments: no use making mountains out of Gillian Hills (wha-wha-wha) and I join sammyg and lanhamyodel in support of yodeling. I've often said that the ills of the world would be a thing of the past if only everyone learned to yodel.
Sod yodelling but love this mix.
GIRLSPIN Approved!
I haven't heard a lot of this but have checked out the Feminine Complex and I'm loving that. Looks cool.
Didn't realize there were so many defenders of yodeling out there! Anyway, this does look like one powerful testosterone-free mix -- Samantha Jones, Feminine Complex, Margo Guryan, Rock Flowers (!!), She, Kleenex... Hope we can include this gem in a 2008 swap.
Yodel all you want, I perfer the lovely ladies.
Looks really great. What little I know here.
I know a lovely Swiss lass who yodels in bed. She's won me over to the yodeling camp...
Not a whole lot here I know either but I sure would like to listen.
Beautiful!!!
Wonderful women... looks great.
I'm with Bear, at least regarding those I know.
