Comment:

Not really an original mix, but some of my favorite mixes posted on this site came from the Freedom Suite series posted by "george metadata." I had made my own kind of "best of" CD from that series and listened to that music a lot following the 2004 election and had forgotten about it until recently, but with the new election coming up, I have started listening to this again, and it is still great. The Freedom Suite series included a lot of my old favorites (Bad Moon Rising, The New World, Bob Marley) but also introduced some new favorites like What Did You Learn in School, Hands on the Bible, Armageddon Days, etc. My only changes to the original were to substitute my own favorite Steve Earle protest song and add Edwin Starr and Barry McGuire.

Hey, thanks for the props. I was just thinking about those mixes recently because of the five year anniversary coming up soon. I'm planning to do a remake of sorts myself soon. Those mixes were my biggest request for trades back in the days before the downloads.
Who would have thought the war would still be going on and Bush's repuglicant replacement wannabes campaign slogan would be "endless war".

Great mix but then it would be coming from George as it were. I remember the shit storm that followed George's original postings.
