Comment:

Inspired by the legendary Gourds cover that made it onto every collegiate hard drive (1998-2002) via Napster, usually misattributed to Phish, Dave Matthews, Barenaked Ladies, or String Cheese Incident. The next addition was the Jenny Owen Youngs cover, and things kinda snowballed from there. I found great resources in the following articles, and particularly the comments (viva web 2.0!).

Songs #9, 11, & 13 were in my CD collection. I paid for #10 on iTunes. The rest were available free at the various artists' websites or on YouTube.

Fabulous! I know exactly five of these, and thought it would be a cool idea for a mix - glad to see someone did it so well.

Jenny Owen Youngs lives here in NJ, and you can see her igloo-based video here.

BTW, you might like Travis Morrison's cover of Ludacris's "What's Your Fantasy."

oh wow. I didn't think this happened this often. You might like Yo La Tengo's "Be Thankful For What You Got" (originally by William Devaughn).
