Comment:
Changing pace with my Dirty Urban afterbar party mix. A double-disc dose of soul, lounge, hip hop and a little crunk, all inspired by 70's porn movies. Come on in and drink up, my fellow AotM-ers! The party's bumpin.WARNING: CONTAINS EXPLICT EVERYTHING!!!

Feedback:
this looks dirty - in the best way possible
Nice 'n' sleazy. Plenty here that I don't know, but I'm liking the RJD2 and Jurassic 5 especially. Well done!
Killer nix of old and new. Nicely done.
a lot less hip hop & G-funk then I thought, looking like a fun ride
Now *this* is something. I'd like to hear it, so I'll be downloading soon.
MC Gabe in da house. Great to see people making a break from the usual, though some of this may be a bit much for me I'm game to try. Love the Thievery Corps, Scruff, J 5, Coldcut, and Atmosphere so I'm not totally outta da loop.
file under blue lounge ?I must confess to being a fan of this sort of shit . . . well done . . .
Fantastic. That J5-Terror Squad run on Side 2 is pretty special. As is the Brown-Jones-Brown trio. Actually, there's little or nothing here I don't like..
The King Curtis, Shirley Bassey and Roots picks jump out at me. Loking forward to this.
See, now THIS is HOT!!!! SO many great artist represented. And, Roots Manuva! Oh, yes, yes, yes.
So much I don't know but Thievery Corp. rank highly a chez moi.
There's a really lot of songs here I like a lot. Especially in the context here.
I would've missed this if some uptight person hadn't complained about it -- ooooh, wheeeee -- my kind of mix!!!
I was lookin' for love by the time I got to Macy Gray.
Gutbucket Puttanesca.
I had to use two vacations days at work in order to have time to listen to this huge heap of music. well, it was worth it. "Mrs. Cream Jeans" was a delight. other faves from side one are Ruth Brown, Mr. Scruff, Si Zenter, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Thievery Corporation, Jimmy McGriff, Bahia El Idrissi... and of course the Boca 45 w/ Kelvin Swaby. the "Dial-a-Date" thing on side two was pretty funny. also liked "You Bastard!" and Coldcut w/ Roots Manuva, "School's Out," Brother Ali w/ Slug and again, the terrific Boca 45 track, this one with Stepchild. I'm seriously going to move next door to this Boca 45 fellow and tell him to turn up his stereo. thanks for sharing all this stuff.
I did a search on AOTM for a party mix, hoping to find a dance mix from someone who knows of these things (as I do not). Your mix came up. Checking out the playlist led to downloading and then to aur(al)gasm. After cleaning up the mess, I wanted to leave a message thanking you-TA DA. Thanks for the highly enjoyable detour. I also started checking out your other mixes and want to avoid being part of the 99%, ungrateful unwashed heathens who prompted your wrath in a previous mix.
