Comment:

Continuing my adventure through the alphabet I've settled on the letter E. Explain yourself, some will shout when they see no ELO or Edison Lighthouse. They came close but got cut at the last moment. Win the mix if you can tell me the link between it and the picture.

A great set of "e"s. Georges Perec wrote La disparition without using the letter "e" once (as a finale he then wrote a story in which "e" was the only vowel used, the big cat loving showoff that he was.) He also wrote Life: A User Manual which I read many years ago as its titled seemed an irrefutable recommendation.

Love the Essex Green, Echo and Electric Banana picks, although I must admit that I really can't stand the Eels. Still looks like a fine listen, though.

Wow! Eggplant,,, now that's a band I haven't heard in a while. Looks like a fun series you've got going here!

That clever musicgnome -- the letter "e' was the only vowel used in his feedback. How can I top that? Looks extraordinary! Essex Green. Even As We Speak. Eggplant. Ellie Pop. Of course I have to mention a few worthy omissions: Elastica, Eighth Day, Echobelly, Eternity's Children and who could possibly forget Ebn-Ozn!

Eighth Day, Moe? Pah. What about Patsy Kensit's seminal 80s band Eighth Wonder? East Village, K&R. Pah. Where's East 17 when you need em?
Was his name Gorgs Prc on the cover of said book?

Probably wouldn't fit so well here but one of my all-time fave bands was Electric Flag. Now that was funk. Props to Muzag on aceing the quiz.

every exquisite entry entertaining!
I see you wisely excluded the obvious Elvises, Ella, Elton, etc.
Aside: I do wish my country issued postage stamps for experimental eccentric artists, instead of for Disney cartoons & Star Wars . . .

Er, I agree with all below but I ESPECIALLY love the East River Pipe song here.
