Recently, I posted a mix specifically designed to make my girlfriend bop around the room when she's on her own. A year ago, we agreed to exchange mix tapes for Valentine's Day - hers never materialised...until now!
Now I wouldn't listen to 99% of these artists in my own time, but as a definitive statement of her, I hold it most valuable.
Each song has its own story (e.g. when we met in New Zealand, we were team mates in a game of Cranium and I had to hum/mime Bohemian Rhapsody).She'd also like it to be clear that she was a fan of the Carla Bruni song long before she hit the headlines recenty!
