Our dog Sadie died yesterday. She'd been the bugman's dog for 15 years, and was a part of my life for the past nine. She was a great dog, a loyal and loving friend and will be greatly missed. This mix is a bit of a wallow, but it's all I want to listen to right now.

quite a sad story, deanna, sorry to hear that - my cousin just lost his dog of nearly 20 years recently (i was actually there when he got it when i was just a tot, before he even knew about her), & it was just as much a loss to me, i feel - this is heartwarming though, especially the costello, byrds, elliott smith, bowie, smokey, stones, neko, nick drake & kinks picks...

Sad to hear, but nice mix. Trying to decide if it's a good thing, or a bad thing, that you opted to forgo the dog-themed mix. (Personally, though I'm a cat person myself and just don't get the whole dog thing -- albeit, given a wife & daughter who are highly allergic to furry creatures, one who's had to become a goldfish person -- I do have to acknowledge the Byrds' "Old Blue" as the ultimate dog memorial song. Unless, of course, one were to count Henry Gross' "Shannon," but that would be very, very wrong.)

Thanks guys. It's been a rough couple of days, but we're coping. She was a member of the family, and sort of like our child, so it's been a real blow to lose her.
Very sad, nothing sadder. You have to mourn that loss - my sympathies.

I know what it's like when a pet dies. Growing up I had to go through the experience of losing several cats. I still think about my tabby who grew up with me even though he's been gone 20 years. All the best, buglady.

I'm so sorry to hear about Sadie. I'm such a dog person, I have a Beagle named Stella who likes to howl along with many of the songs on this mix. She and I both send our condolences.
I would send condolences from our cat, but like most of his species, he really doesn't care.We do care and hope that Sadie didn't suffer much. 15 years is a big gap. I love the Smokey backed with the Stones and Drake backed with Kinks.
