I've been working on this list for awhile. Mostly because when my friends and I have a party, inevitably people want to dance, and we are forced to put on the latest Hip/Hop Flavor of the Week. So it got me thinking, why can't we have the best of the both worlds and have some good music to dance to? I had two main criteria for choosing songs for this mix: a) must be at least pre-2000 and b) must make you want to move your body, I find it very hard to sit still when any of these songs come on. While a few of these songs may not be of the highest "quality" (re: SoulDecision), they do get you moving, and I think they have a place on this disc.
