Comment:
Sammy's recent compilation of artists currently NOT in the RRHOF got me thinking about some rather dated faves of mine. In between classes and work and the initial spring gardening chores, I started digging through some old vinyl and took the proverbial stroll down memory lane. I hope these moments in time, mostly from the mid-60s through the mid-70s conjure up some pleasant recollections of a kinder and more connecting music scene. Who doesn't remember where they were the first time they heard many of these tracks?Sadly, I don`t seem to have the time I used to for yanking out all this old stuff, but today seemed to be the right day. Enjoy!!
Hail, Hail, Rock and Roll!

Feedback:
Thanks for taking the time to dig. I lived through this era and am not familiar with anything her. Time to go digging myself.
I think I was definitely somewhere on the planet when these sounds emerged, Ken...;- D
"Hail, hail, Rock-n-Roll" indeed!

Methinks you have plucked these bands from fantasy land. I only wish you had heard the Ornithological Crones back in the day.
I'm a little suspicious that you posted this on the day you did, but I do have that fantastic Stiletto Heels song on the b-side of a French single released on this very date in 1969 -- so maybe this is legit :)
Yes, I'm afraid I must demand a trade or link to ease my April Fools suspicions, as I know nada here. Of course if this mix does exist, I double demand!
Ha, ha, and cheers to you too. This deserves its new spot in My Little Red Book.
outside looking in !
You're lucky to still have your old vinyl. The sound quality is broader than that found on CDs. Please post more of your wax tracks. Regards.
Heh. Always been a big fan of the Exclamation Points.
Holy crap - what a treasure trove here. I would love to hear it.
And the Roaring Dogs.... how we all loved them. Related to the Singing Dogs, were they?
