Comment:

A companion mix for my friend with the ill mother. He has had his own health problems for over five years now so he's out of work and looking after his mother. His musical taste is fairly liberal which is why this veers from surf music from behind the Iron Curtain to indie pop from Hull, England with here a bit of folk and there a bit of oddness.

I've heard it said that laughter is the best medicine, but based on the good vibrations here I think music might be even better -

The name Pentangle sounds familiar. Didn't John Renbourn play guitar for them at one time?

I know you made up a few of these bands in honor of April Fool's Day (Queen's Nectarine Machine? Bingo Gazingo And My Robot Friend? Right.) But I do know that the wonderful Pylon, Stockingpops and the LSMP exist, so at least some of this is legit. Hope this brings some joy into your friend's life. He's lucky to have a pal like you.

Moe: Your comment is appreciated but Queen's Nectarine Machine did exist as did Bingo Gazingo, the former were a US band from the late 60's, the latter is on Songs In The Key Of Z Volume 2 CD.

Know only the Joanna Newsom here. Hope this achieves its mission.

Of course my comment was in jest:) I even discovered that I had a track by QNM in my collection a few days ago ("I Got Troubles" 1968). Still not convinced about Bingo Gazingo. I need further proof ;)
