Comment:

Yep, that's right I'm in the season of Homework! Yay, Fantastico, woo. No, yeah actually I really hate homework. Especially, Social Studies. Yucky! This mix mostly has songs from my Spring Fling Dance, but most I just found and really like. When I was on I-Tunes, on the top 10, there was a song by Madonna and Justin Timberlake and just HAD to get it. Almost every single day after school I hear the song Sweetest Girl about 100 times and actually almost got sick of it. One day after I heard it I looked at the lyrics and they're actually really powerful. At the 50th Grammy Award performance Kanye West performed Stronger and I loved it! My Dad even cried when he was singing about his mom. Now that's a REAL powerful song. It's sorta heard to believe that my dad's a big cry baby. The other day we were watching this movie called, The Miracle Maker with some church friends and MY dad was crying at the end and the other dad was asleep! Can you believe this? I know I bet you can't. But, that's not the point of this mix. The point is I needed NEW music to listen to while I do my homework. Duh! <ahref=Kanye West - Stronger lyrics

The Kanye, Sir Mix-a-Lot and Calvin & Hobbes are highlights, but the real highlight is knowing that you did this. I am very proud of you, sweetie.

If you are as competent with your homework as you are with your mixes, you'll go far in this life.

Throw the homework on the fire, as David Bowie once said; only I better not suggest that as I might get in trouble with your dad. BTW I'm always crying but that's usually over records I can't afford to bid for on ebay.

Perhaps you could turn this in to your teacher as a social studies assignment for extra credit.

Love the Santana, Sir Mix-a-Lot and especially the Calvin & Hobbes! Nothing eases the pain of homework like great tunes in the background.

Home work was invented by Nigel Trubshaw, an insipid little goit, with a very small mind, trapped inside a very large head. The year was 1874 -- a good year by all accounts; until this toady, mean-spirited, master of vapidity, somehow managed to convince the educational powers that be that this was a good idea!It still makes my blood boil to even think of these matters. What a pathetic, nasty little "innovation" homework is. I firmly believe it is one of the most counter-productive notions ever conceived. It has been many years since I was obliged to take part in this obnoxious, ritualistic salve to the educational conscience, yet I am unable to shake the dread. Deep breath...On a positive note, this is a good selection of tunes to help you go through the motions. One day, you will not have to take part in this stupidity any longer -- oh frabjous day, callooh! Callay! -- but I fear the mental scars may never heal. I wish you well.
