Comment:
This is a mix for my old supervisor at work, who loves 70s music. When I worked with her, she used to pull me in her office and play me the entire Singers-Songwriters series from Time-Life and recount her memories of listening to music as a kid. For me, I grew up in the 80s and really have experienced the 70s artists through their most recent work - e.g., Fleetwood Mac became my favorite group after The Dance, I discovered Bruce Springsteen through Tunnel of Love, Neil Young through Harvest Moon, etc., and then I backtracked through their 70s catalogs. So anyway I thought I would make a mix for my old supervisor with current music (loosely defined as from the 1990s or 2000s) from artists who originally charted in the 70s to introduce her to some new/newer music. I think it turned out pretty well, but 70s music is not really my cup of tea, so if anyone has some other suggestions - preferably mellower, upbeat, safe, soccer mom, Billy Joel, type music - I would be happy to try it out and see if it might fit my mix before I send it off. The title of this mix comes from the Neil Young track.Feedback:
I have considered doing this mix before, just never got around to it. Some nice choices with Plant, Young, Zevon, and Springsteen.
