For the first time in my life, I have a rad girlfriend who takes mixes as seriously as I do, if not moreso. Unfortunately, for our first mix swap as a couple, she picked the theme of shoving our musical skeletons out of the closet; that way, at least we both know what we're getting ourselves into. Instead of throwing out all the "impressive" bands to pimp my indie creds on the first one, I had to admit that I still listen to NSYNC on a regular basis. Making this mix showed me what a music snob I've become, as half the original cuts, like Sublime and Rammstein, were nixed by the girlfriend for "not being bad enough." That conversation got her 85 more cool points in my book, btw, as she knew that there was more than one Jet (though, sadly, that meant I had to include a song by the worse one).

So, dear mixheads, all I ask of you is to judge me by any other mix... just please, sweet jeebus, not this one. And if you still feel the urge, take a look through your own iTunes library. Let ye who is without synth cast the first Rolling Stone.
