Comment:

It's been over a year since I last posted a tape here (and I think last time I was accidentally stiffing someone on a trade...sorry about that), but I made this today for the car and rashly, but honestly, decided that it was the greatest work of art of this or any other millennium, so in my magnanimity I'm sharing it with all of you.

Also, the wildly shifting moods, and, come to think of it, many of the lyrics, perfectly reflect my mental state recently (the only way the lyrics could be more accurate would be if I had left off "Fast City" and added on "Mecca"). It's particularly appropriate because a good third of these songs came to me via the dude who's largely responsible for the moods.

yeah, that was me with the trade. no big deal. love the Bow Wow Wow, Scott Walker and The Kills tracks for starters, but "Mecca"... have you fallen for a Muslim fella again?

Always like to see Van Dyke Parks on a mix, even if it is with Yoko.

Yoko Ono blows Van Dyke Parks out of the water, any day of the week.
