Comment:
Another reason revoked mix. It's what I like and had forgotten I liked. The odd charity shop find like Omega Red Star from Hungary, a prog folk, psych pop band from 1968 whose lyrics were written by a beautiful blonde lawyer from Budapest. And Death Ships, unbelievably never featured on AOTM until now, investigate them if you like bands like Rogue Wave or the New Pornographers. Plenty from the past, present and inbetween.
Feedback:
Had a listen to 'Death Ships' on Myspace and enjoyed what I heard - really misleading band name. And I'll be sure to check out Omega Red Star also. Great mix, 2,4 9/10, 15,16 and especially 19 being the picks (well, the tracks I know at least :)
Good stuff that I know, and a lot of intriguing stuff I have to go searching for; my favorite kind of mix!
Into what I know, 2,9,10,19 and 20 all rock and I haven't heard Dinosaur Jr. in eons.
All I needed to see was Buffalo Springfield and I fell in love with this mix.
Like the Wire and Dino Jr., but especially like the title.
jeez, this has ME remembering what i had loved & forgotten - i especially ADORE that school track - looks lovely, really
Lots I'm digging here... Omega Red Star sounds mighty interesting. I'm gonna have to look out for that one.
Thanks for all the great things to learn more about.
Love the band name on track 23. I'll have to ckeck them out for that alone.
An interesting looking mix...
A lot I don't know but I do love the Specials and Wire tracks.
Another one I missed. Wonderful tunes from Wire, The School (hoping for a full-length soon!), Specials, April March, etc. Need to get on board the Death Ships. Your cover reminds me of my Constant Variety of Sport mix.
