Comment:
Like so many of my mixes, this starts off strong and goes from fun to frenzy to the blues to darkness to hope. Like life. The first track is a field recording of Italian laborers (I think Sicilian). Grandpaboy is Paul Westerberg, recording with a sense of humor under a pseudonym. "Crawfish" - well, I don't really know. A soundtrack cut, I think. Sharon Jones had the best 2007 album you never heard. The Black Angels have one of the best albums for 2008. Frank Sinatra and Duke Ellington show how atonal you can be while still being strongly melodic.
Feedback:
Nice mix...that 15-16 pair is great!
