Comment:

I recently bought Copeland's B-Sides & Rarities disc "Dressed Up & In Line" and really loved it. It reminded me of the first time I fell in love with the bands music. As soon as I was done listening to that CD I decided to make my own "Best Of" record for the band, to capture the best parts of their music, from catchy pop songs like "Take Care" and "Walking Downtown" to beautiful ballads like "Love Affair" and "You Have My Attention". I sat down for a few hours and carefully compiled these songs, adding some, taking some away, getting frustrated and almost quitting, until I had the 20 you see here (actually only 19 will fit on a disc but I really wanted the original version of "Every Breath You Take" from the "Policia!" album on there. If it ever was released, I'd probably have "Every Breath" or "Do You Hear What I Hear?" as a digital download or iTunes only track or something.) So I hope you enjoy as much as I have, now we only have to get Copeland to release this!

Love this mix! I taught myself to play drums in part by obsessing over Copeland's hi-hat flourishes on Police records.
There's only one thing missing here: Copeland on Tom Waits' "Tabletop Joe!" Was the decision a conscious one?
