Comment:

Accused of being obscure on occasion I resorted to dipping into the MOTW archives. I started at the very beginning. Each song comes from a MOTW, how it gets to be on this mix follows: song no.1 is song no.1 from a mix, song no.2 is song no.2 from a mix and so on. The rule is that I have to have that particular song in my collection and no song or band could feature twice. Unfortunately I couldn't change the category to alternating DJ's Interesting to see so many vanished AOTMers, where are you all now? This is dedicated to you.

Interesting way to put the Archies and the Stooges on a single mix.TMBG, Cure, Ramones, the aforementioned Stooges, Small Faces and of course the Buffalo Springfield are favorites in my household.

Let's raise a glass to our missing friends. With "Shake Some Action" and "Judy is a Punk" blasting from the speakers.

It produced a fab Rev-Ramones and a top B&S-S3 pairing, so great detective work indeed.

What a terrific idea. Utterly original, and a fab mix has resulted. Great songs everywhere, but the 6-10 run is outstanding. And Fearless is perhaps my favourite Floyd track ( apart from the 3 minute pop bursts of the 60s of course )..

Like missing musicians, vanished mixers I suppose should be on milk cartons. They, like the songs, probably have stories to tell.

Looks good, my London friend. I ditto Sam on the Pink Floyd comment. So how many of the MOTW recipients represented here are still active posters? Curious in San Diego.

Apples in Stereo into Black Flag?! NICE. Infact, the 13 to 18 stretch is freaking awesome.
