Comment:
This edition of the fishbulb created by (in order of appearance) lil' lo-fi jr., The Notorious Rob C & Lady Orchid.
Feedback:
It's finally posted!!! *sighing wistfully but meaningfully with relief* My additional notes: This was the product of two and a half months' effort, but I, for one, think the result was worth it [although, as usual, my cohorts provided most of the eye-poppingly groovy obscurities--it's for these that I give this mix its five-star rating--while I kept things grounded with (for the most part) more familiar favorites]. My favorite lo-fi picks here are the Pere Ubu, Deep Freeze Mice and Henry Flynt tracks; my favorite Orchid picks are the Yaphet Kotto, Aston "Family Man" Barrett and Traffic Sound tracks. There's not a bad pick in sight, though, from either of them and I bow to their mix-making skills.
Aces on the Deep Freeze Mice. That's some special stuff.
wow, this is literally making my mouth water - it's been far too long since the last mix from you guys - i love the jam, roxy music & dusty springfield especially - any chance of a download?
Excellent mixers x 3 = TrFs bien! Very cool.
what Curtis said, lovely
Not your average 'breakfast show' radio mix!Lots to love - even more to wonder about. Magnifique!
I know which one she loves. Wonderful trio, wonderful mix.
Johnny's No Good, but this mix is very much so. Dig both 'Traffic' cuts, and the wonderful William Bell. One of my fave Roxy tracks. And - pre listen, I look forward to that exotic looking final 3..
Very cool, though I'm not sure how exotic Ronnie Milsap is.Great artwork as well.
Oh man. Yeah, pretty much exactly what Curtis said. So great.
Fantastic mixmaking, fellas.
Another exciting chapter in the Fishbulb mythology, lots to discover. Thanks, kids.
sorry for commenting so late here; this one literally made me wet my pants. the opening quartet was simply smashing - especially Samanta Viene A Casa. also loved that crazy Hajime Kaidou song and Annie Philippe's number too. nobody knew what to think about that Kate Ferencz song when it was playing, and they still won't know what to think if you ask them 30 years from now. it's always a treat to see Ronnie Milsap on a mix, but I think "Kentucky Candy" was my favorite ditty of the bunch. always dig the fishbulb. Beau Travail!
Way late to the party - but DAMN this looks good.
