Comment:

Yup, it's a high-concept mix: A "Johnny" song followed by a song with a 3:16 running length Due to the subtleties and intricacies of file conversion, the 3:16 songs were morphed into 3:15-3:18 songs on the download file, so you'll have to take my word that they all started out at 3:16.
The mix was inspired by Rollen "Rainbow Man" Stewart, who just popped into my head one day when a synapse misfired, accidentally accessing a brain cell which had not seen the light of day since 1987. For those unfamiliar with Rainbow Man, he was a nutty character who wore a rainbow afro wig with scriptural signs or t-shirts to sporting events, positioning himself in locations where TV cameras would be forced to broadcast his image. One of his more typical messages simply referenced the biblical passage "John 3:16", so I took this as a sign from above to create a goofball theme mix. For those just dying to know whatever happened to Stewart, it seems that he has a lot in common with Johnny 99 these days. I felt I owed Rainbow Man for the inspiration and co-opting his image, so I thought the least I could do is end the mix with a gospel tune. Shine on, Rock'n Rollen!

The only track missing is The Fugs "The Iliad," aka The Ballad of Johnny Pissoff. Nice concept and execution. Oh, and a photo any mother would be proud of.
