Comment:

this mix is intended to serve two purposes.
1. i'm driving home in a little more than a week. this is a 23-hour drive and last time i drove straight through without stopping to sleep. i am probably going to do the same thing this time. just as the title suggests, this is for when i am sleepy on the road. there is no 'we,' but i like the way it sounds. loud, happy, upbeat songs that will keep me awake. i will crank my windows down, crank the stereo up, and scream my lungs out and be okay. go ahead, laugh at the poison track. but you can't beat it for a singalong.
2. this also serves as an mp3 playlist. i've been dragging myself out of bed at 4am on weekdays to ride my new road bike and jog. getting up so early isn't the best thing ever and, understandably, i need something to keep myself going. this mix is it. the truth is i've been experiencing a lot of frustration on all fronts lately and running and biking are helping me deal with that. sometimes i just want to scream. it's easier to scream along with music. jesus, my mix descriptions always sound like journal entries. sorry.
there's a download link to this entire thing because there was some interest expressed in the comments on my last mix. it's a large zip file but take it, please, and love it. also expect to be seeing a steady stream of mixes from me within the next week as i prepare for my trip and make presents for friends at home.
