And so we return to a haphazard collection of present favourites. This is another mix to entertain us on our long journey into the Welsh backwoods to attend a wedding three weeks from now. The bride used to be the singer of a band called Melys, they once topped Peel's Festive 50. I'm hoping she'll sing her vows. And I'm hoping to wear my usual wedding attire, my ragged MBV tee shirt. I think Kathryn will use her veto; I allow her three every year and she's only used one so far.Feedback:

Looks like the KathrynandRupert "usual fare." And as usual, what I recognize I like. Wish I could hear that Fire Hydrant Men song, as "Honey Bee Sting" (from another one of your mixes) is the coolest song ever. Hope you guys have a safe trip, and remember not to use your cell phone while driving -- woops! that only applies to California. Yes, I would excercise your veto power on the MBV t-shirt, Kathryn. Nothing against that band, but and t-shirt is certainly wedding inappropriate. Why don't you wear the powder blue tux instead? And thanks to you guys, I'm familiar with the Melys. Great band.

I'd veto for the band not the shirt, but that's just me. The mix two thumbs up for the inclusion of Jools Driscoll, who I had a serious crush on back in the day before she married that Tippett fellow.
Except for Julie & Jay, I am in the dark. In other words, Rob and I are in the same boat.
I remeber Melys, I'm sre I've got a couple of 7s of theirs - definitely 'Cukoo'. Have a great trip, and if you choose to wear your MBV t-shirt and your Ben from Curiosity Killed the Cat Flat Cap, Kathryn will have to use 2 vetos. Then you'll be free to do as you please the rest of the year..
