Comment:
Is this thing on? Cautiously dipping my toe back in the waters here. Hopefully, all the bad shit will stay away for good. As '80s hair-metal poofters, Cinderella once said, "You don't know what you've got til it's gone." Or something to that effect. So here's a recent effort. Mostly inspired by the ridiculous North Carolina heat and humidity we're experiencing in the past 2 weeks, it's all kinda hazy and slow. Link to come through usual channels over the next day or two.Feedback:
Hey, great one, I really like the duke and dutchess and the neil of course, and Mr. Campbell as well.by the way, you are up after the magnetic fields in our MAS.
That Neil song is perfect for hot, humid summer days/nights. Great mix! I'd love to hear this 'un.
Add Cat Power to doowad's list and I'll sign. I wish we'd had two weeks of heat and humidity, it's been horrid here.
Pretty nice mix, Shawn. The 5 to 8 stretch is really amazing.
it seems as though you're incapable of making a mix i'm not totally in love with. i love this, that neil young sound being the biggest gem here, though i like tons of these songs. was really, really disappointed by the new MMJ album, though that song is one of the few diamonds in the rough of that record.
looking nice and slow
GREAT mix, as pwer usual. That Earth record has been huge for me these days, and just about everything else here (particularly the Neil Young, Cat Power and Mr. Campbell) is classic. There's a new James Jackson Toth?!?
Another fine submission. Though I am only intimately familiar with a few of these, I always trust your judgement.
