Comment:

Be it through creative influence or downright plagiarism, many artists wind up with a sound that can be traced at least in part back to the Fab Four. For your listening pleasure, these are the tracks that I've came across lately that are 1. the most enjoyable and 2. the closest to the real thing.

Got the idea from listening to the Redwalls' Universal Blues album. Not a bad disc, especially if you're a fan of a Lennon solo/Beatles/Dylan/Stones/Grateful Dead sound. Also thought about naming the disc after the Tears for Fears song, Sowing the Seeds of Love, which seems appropriate given the theme, but I couldn't come up with an album cover to match.

Feel free to add some tracks that you think should have made it into this mix. Some of the leftovers that I had were Elvis Costello - Veronica, Easybeats - Friday on my Mind, Boo Radleys - Wake Up Boo, Foo Fighters - Big Me, and most of the Dave Clark Five and Rutles catalog.

Chuckling over the bobble-heads cover, and thinking about how imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Well done, c4p.

I've heard that Knickerbockers track referred to as "out-Beatling the Beatles." Lots of great picks here...well done!

The High Llamas always struck me as very Beatlesque, though sometimes Pet Soundalikes as well. I like your concept.
