Comment:

A collection of my favorite songs by my favorite band, just before they sell out. Its a sad thing, but inevitable, I'm afraid.

I think it's funny when people dislike bands when they become mainstream. You know it's not them selling out, it's them being recognized. How they deal with it is up to them. But they are the same band. Yer not really a fan if you disown them when they become popular.

I'm not disowning them. I just have a thing against that kinda stuff though.

Against it why? If I may ask...If you love them so much, should it matter?

Last time I checked weezer was still on Geffen Records. And, the First album has outsold both Pinkerton and the new "Green" album combined (to date). If anything, they've become less "mainstream"... Just one observation.

the new Weezer album is bad though...they've never been indie, but they've been really good until now. so i'll dis like them for that.

Weezer is one of my favorite bands and I don't think they're selling out, it's just that they've emerged into a more rock-hungry musical nation. Everyone sick of pop is rejoicing now to hear one of the best bands make a comeback, the public has been starved from good rock for so long, its inevitable that they embrace it as soon as it comes along.
