Comment:
Songs featured on mix tapes made by Cobain, listed in his journals, with three exceptions: "Smells Like Nirvana," "Museum of Love" (a mix tape listed near the back of the journals has Daniel Johnston down but not individual tracks so I chose one from Cobain's fave DJ album) and "The Man Who Sold the World." I wanted to include REM's "1,000,000" (from the CHRONIC TOWN EP) but I only have a rustic cassette copy of CHRONIC TOWN. And to have songs like "The Ballad of Evel Knievel," "The Globetrotters Theme," and the Chipmunk version of the Knack's "Frustrated" (on the CHIPMUNK PUNK LP, the first record I owned . . . circa 1982 . . . 'cause I loved their version of "Jessie's Girl" by R. Springfield) to go along with Shatner's Beatles cover would have been great.Feedback:
I like this a lot! Yeah, Kurt Cobain's musical tastes were quite diverse, and this makes for a really good window into them.
