10 Songs Blog debuted with it's first theme and first 10 *cough* 11 songs in January with: Goin' Down Slow. 10 Songs you want played at your funeral plus one specifically for when they lower the coffin.

Since I'm such a party and dance person it would have to be mostly upbeat music. So here they are and possibly in the order I want them played. During the actual lowering of the coffin I want 'Goin' Down Slow' by Muddy Waters & Bo Diddley & Howlin' Wolf. Yeah because the blues was meant for funerals. And I figure if I'm goin' it's slow because I be fighting' for every last second of breath I have. Drive Like Lightening Crash Like Thunder - Brian Setzer Orchestra (I figure if I don't go slow I'll quick and dangerously. And this song is just that rockin' and just that fast to get me there.) Best Years Of Our Lives - Modern Romance (This song should be played every New Years because frankly you can't be in a bad mood around this song and what better way to celebrate than by saying he's toast but it was the best year he ever had.) Daylight - Bobby Womack (This song is about a man who goes out to clubs and stay out WAY too late until the sun is coming up (back when clubs stayed open all night in the US)... SO of course I had to have it because of my dancing insanity and club mania. The perfect closer to a perfect funeral.)

Next Weeks Theme: 10 Songs Dedicated To Edward Hopper's painting 'Nighthawks'.
