Comment:

1. God Is A Bullet - Concrete Blonde (The opening credits roll as a man chewing a cigar walks down the hall of military headquarters. He is on his way to get chewed out by his superior officer for being a "loose cannon" but he doesn't give a rat's behind because it's time for some lone man's justice in this galaxy.)

2. Battle Without Honor or Humanity - Tomoyasu Hotei (We see our hero pissed off that he has been put in solitary but with the help of his childhood buddy he breaks out and breaks into the weapon storage where we see him pillaging it for all kinds of guns and ammo as he suits up for battle.)

3. Generals & Majors - XTC (Barfight!!!!)

4. That's How They Do It Dixie - Hank Williams Jr., Gretchen Wilson, Big & Rich, & Van Zant (Here is the hero's best friend since childhood. An outlaw whose parents were enslaved and forced to work in the villains space mine. He is pissed, likes too much beer, and too much outlaw country music. This over the top obnoxious loud country jam is what he'll be playing when he goes down shouting, "This is how we do it Dixie!").

5. Kickstart My Heart - The Porkers (It is Saturday night in the sky city. The streets are packed as cars flip and pedestrians dive to the ground for safety. Our loose cannon is being pursued by the enemies underlings. How can you rock a car chase without Motley Crue as done by Australia's ska legends The Porkers?)

6. You Take My Breath Away - Sarah Brightman (The red lights are low at the hooker with a heart of gold's apartment as they fall into the bed. Her son from a deadbeat daddy sleeps in the next room.)

7. Epic - Faith No More (After a failed attempt by his second in command to kill our hero the evil leader in question teaches his subordinate a lesson about failure through the metaphor of killing a goldfish. After which he promptly kills the said failure with his gun.)

8. My Heart Will Go On - DTja Vu (The enemy forces are winning as ships explode in balls of fire but through the power of love our hero comes out victorious only to crash right front of the villains lair! Yes, the overwrought piece of sugar from Titanic is my battle music but at least it's not Celine Dion!)

9. Orion - Rodrigo Y Gabriela (Our hero's squeeze was captured and held hostage in the villains high rise business office on some desolate planet where he finds her tied up. Their rejoining is joyous but brief for the villain enters and our hero is chased to the top floor into the villains high rise office and out onto the balcony overlooking the vast desolate planetary canyon. A duel of space swords ensues before the villain his cast over the balcony to splat on the red earth below.)

10. Head On - The Jesus And Mary Chain (The hero and his squeeze kiss in the planetary sunset after she makes some clichTd seductive remark like, "You know I've never been off this stupid rock why don't take me out of this world." End scene and film and credits roll on).

What an awesome film!

Next week's theme: For love month (gag) Bitter Ball returns and since next week is New Wave City (yay), in honor of us singles (or any just plain bitter people) and The New Wave 80s party I'd like to kick off Feblueary with 10 of the nastiest meanest songs about love from New Wave or heck the 80s period. Songs to rain on the love parade. Let's just down pour acid rain on everybody and be a real sourpuss.
