Comment:

Aka: The autobiographical mix. When I look back on my life I can honesty say this was the worst year of my life. My uncle passed away, I got my heart broken, and never felt so lost. Each song represents something that happened this year. You don't have to understand it but it just works for me.

Looks like a great mix, though I'm sorry you had cause to make it, if that makes sense. I don't know the Longwave song, but 'wake me when it's over' seems like a good maxim for years like this! I don't know lots of the songs, but The Con is essential. Tiny Vessels is great too, but I think it's more about Expo 86 for me. Hope 2012 treats you better!

I agree with the previous comment... the mix is well put together, you convey the emotion really well. I'm also sorry for your losses, but (and this may be the most pathetic attempt at consolation ever) I've found that the times in my life during which I've felt the most lost or pained or alone are the times when music, art, and literature keep me tethered to earth, so often I get to look back at them as times of great creation. Depressing creation, but I try to embrace that creative urge however it comes. I hope you pull through.

@Comradestripe- Thank you. What you said makes perfect sense. I had forgotten about "Expo 86." It's been a long time since I listened to "Transatlanticism." Maybe it's time to put some headphones on to fall in love with that album again. @Controlled Catastrophe- Thank you for your truly kind words. I really couldn't agree with you more. This was the year that I just fell in love with music again. It seem like I was so lost in another person that I lost my sense of what I loved.
