Comment:

An institution in New Zealand, but relatively unknown in the U.S., Shona Laing began recording in the early seventies. But her first U.S. release, "South" didn't appear until 1988. She's released three albums here in the states (all on different labels), and had a couple of minor college radio hits in the late 80's ("Soviet Snow" and "Glad I'm Not a Kennedy"). This collection takes the best of those three albums, and makes for a pretty good introduction to her music.
