Comment:
OK, first off these are all fat-friendly (fat-positive) songs -- obviously it's a lot easier to find songs that make fun of fat folks, but I'll leave that project to someone else. Second, I was surprised in pulling this together to find just as many fat-guy as fat-gal songs; you wouldn't thnk so but there are. What else; well, all of the "Big Fat Mama" cuts are completely different songs, although the different takes of "300 Pounds" & "Built for Comfort" are of the same song, & of course there are lots of other performances of both of those. I'm still looking for a more exuberant image for the cover art than this one; if anyone has something that might work better, please e-amil me - thanks.
Feedback:
"This is sooo freakin' awesome!" says the fat chic! I love it! Is there a way I could possibly get a copy of this? Tape, CD whatever....I would be forever grateful!
Looks awesome to me. I'm amazed that you took the time to find SO many songs to fit your theme. I'd never have the patience for a project like that. *high five* Great job.
I just got this today in the mail, and it is soooo awesome! I love it! What a great CD for those down on the fat chic days! Just amazing....
Another brilliant theme, brilliantly carried through. I've got two comedy numbers for you: Allan Sherman's "Grow, Mrs. Goldfarb" and Louis Prima's "The Bigger the Figure," the latter a desecration of, I believe, Rossini. Ciao!
Very cute.
