Comment:

Started off as a simple update of the Mp3 list formerly known as FROGPURSE, but grew quite a bit with other tracks. Represented here are various grooves (electronic groove, novelty groove, porn groove, bat mitzvah groove, chairman-of-the-board groove, Children's Television Workshop groove, etc.) to, well, groove to.
Say, do you remember The Beatles Medley or Stars On Stevie by Stars On 45? Huge hits right? Well, now you can have the Stars On 45 play your wedding, bar mitzvah, prom or special event. You had better not expect Bas Muys(Beatles) or Tony Sherman(Stevie Wonder) to show up. Instead, you'll get a couple of New Yorkers named Stu and Eddie who claim to be the lead vocalists and co-founders of Stars On. This is odd because everybody knows it was the European brainchild of Golden Earring drummer, JAAP EGGERMONT. While compiling this mix, putting the titles in order for good segues really did my head in. Tell me if it works for you. Thanks

Yikes! One of the few mixes worthy of the "Mixed Genre" catagory. The Rotters to Shadow? This I've gotta hear!

Kind of creepy. Best title I've seen in a very long time.

Looks like loads of fun, Karen. Worth whatever trouble it caused (having your head done in) for the 'Crew Slut' into 'Sit On My Face, Stevie Nicks' segue. Fantastic title and I love the cover art, too!!!

Thanks for the words of kindness on the mix, title and cover art. The title was a result of watching too many back-to-back episodes of Band of Gold.

Interesting tidbit about Stars On. I'm surprised that anybody (original or newcomer) could pull that off today because of ownership/royalty issues. As for your mix - - I'll bet you throw some interesting parties!

Thanks Jeff for the props. Live@Pride/Can I Dick Van Your Dyke was interesting, to say the least. Picture swing seats attached to burning ropes suspended 30ft. As for the Stars On -- Only after several emails did I receive a reply saying that Stu and Eddie (sounds like a cheesy Top 40 morning team!) actually played on a couple of Sam & Dave tracks. Visit
Starson45.com for major disappointment and samples of their latest renditions of charttoppers. Stu and Eddie thought it was a good move to buy the rights to the name. Talk about schpilkas in the guhvecknaguhzoink!!!

you could put anything on this mix, and it would still be fantastic because there is a track four.

Always good to revisit a classic.
