Comment:
I made this tape for the first boy I ever loved. I met him in college in 1986 and we were never anything more than friends. In 1988 I dropped out of school and we only spoke once several years later when I was living in Arizona. Last October, I tracked him down on the Internet and hooked up with him in New York City. We're both in our 30s now. When I saw him walking down the busy New York street to meet me for lunch, I remembered why I was sweet on him so many years before. All those old feelings plagued me once again. When I returned home to Oregon, I made this tape for him, but never sent it.
Feedback:
There are definitely some beautiful moments here... Neil Young, Dylan, Bowie, Al Green, James Brown, Willie Nelson, Ray Charles... wow. Plus a truly unique Zeppelin choice. And you picked my favorite Aretha single of all time. :-)
wow... that's such a sweet story. some mix tapes are like letters that should never be sent. this is wonderful.
Marta - This is a wonderful mix...Send it!!! I had a similar story, and now I'm married to the girl of my dreams. And it all started with a mix tape and a letter!
This is a wonderful mix tape , shame hat it was never sent but i hope it gives you equal pleasures listening to it!
