PREFACE: This is my first submission to this site. I readily admit to being musically ignorant and liking cheesy, soft music that others liken to crap. But I'm happy to have found such a remarkable website where I can store info about the mixes I have made over the years.

The first mix of 1997 is #97. The optimistic title comes from an old Bryan Adams song that is included on the tape. After a horrific 1996, and plenty unpleasant years prior to that, it was hardly a bold prediction to make, that better days lay ahead. 1997 did not turn out to be a great year. I graduated from Duke, but that was bittersweet, since I left Duke with a mountain of regret. I started my first post-college job, working for Keane, but that was quite unfulfilling. Sadly, in the grand scheme of things, 1997 turned out to be one of the better years in the past decade.
